Creative Bloom Award – Official Rules
§1 – Prize Organizer
1.The Prize is organized by SESSÙN (hereinafter the “Organizer”), whose registered office is located at 1 rue du Capitaine Dessemond, 13007 Marseille, France, registered with the Marseille Trade and Companies Register under number 429 204 282, represented by Ms. Emmanuelle François-Grasset, duly authorized for the purposes hereof.
2.Information about the Organizer and its creative universe can be found at www.sessun.com.
§2 – Purpose of the Prize
1.On the occasion of its thirtieth (30th) anniversary, the Organizer launches a special edition of the SESSÙN CRAFT PRIZE (the “Prize”), an international edition entitled Creative Bloom Award.
2. Participants are invited to submit a free, artistic and functional reinterpretation of the brand’s iconic “Divine” bag. Submitted projects must strictly respect the original object’s volume (17 × 22 × 5.5 cm) while exploring new uses (design object, sculpture, lighting piece, speaker, radio, cooler etc.) and showcasing exceptional craft techniques (the “Projects”).
3.Twenty (20) creators (the “Selected Participants”) will see their Projects produced and presented as the core of the anniversary collective exhibition (the “Exhibition”). These Projects will be displayed within a dedicated scenography designed by the Organizer, alongside emblematic historical models of the “Divine” bag. The Exhibition will open to the public starting 10 September 2026. Its duration will be at least ten (10) days, although the Organizer reserves the right to extend, shorten, or present the Exhibition in other locations.
§3 – Participation Terms
4.The Prize is open exclusively to natural persons aged at least eighteen (18) years old on the date of participation (a “Candidate” and collectively the “Candidates”).
There are no nationality or residency requirements.
5.Participation in the Prize is free of charge and does not require any purchase.
6.To participate, Candidates must complete an application file available for download on sessun.com (the “Website”).
7.Candidates may submit a Project individually or collectively. However, each individual may participate only once, regardless of the form of participation. In case of multiple submissions, only the first application timestamped on the Website will be considered.
8.To be eligible, the application file must contain the following information:
Candidate information :
- Full contact details of the Candidate(s) or Copy of a valid identity document for verification purposes
Project documentation :
-A portfolio of up to 3 pages with biography and previous projects or works
-A statement of intent describing the project, including 3 pages of sketches, illustrations, technical drawings, detailed descriptions of materials, and production techniques
9.Application files may be completed in French or English.
10.Applications must be submitted no later than Sunday 10 May 2026 at 11:59 PM (Paris time) on the Website. A confirmation of receipt will appear via a pop-up notification.
11.By submitting an application, the Candidate acknowledges full acceptance of these Rules.
12.Any comments, questions or complaints regarding the Prize must be addressed exclusively to the Organizer via the contact details available on the Website.
§4 – Review of Applications
13.The Organizer will systematically review each application file to verify its eligibility and compliance with the requirements set out in these Rules, including the completeness of all administrative and creative documents listed in §3.
14.Any application will be declared inadmissible and automatically excluded, without liability for the Organizer, if it:
Is submitted after the deadline
Is incomplete or missing required documents
Contains incorrect or misleading information or fails to meet eligibility criteria
Fails to comply with the Project’s technical requirements (dimensions of 17 × 22 × 5.5 cm or the €500 production budget limit).
15.The Organizer has no obligation to inform Candidates whose application is rejected for non-compliance.Rejection of an application does not entitle the Candidate to any compensation or indemnity whatsoever.
§5 – Selection of Winners
16.The Prize has a philanthropic and artistic vocation. Applications will be reviewed by art and design professionals and members of the Organizer’s management.
17.Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Creativity and originality in reinterpreting the “Divine” bag
Innovative character of the proposed use
Technical quality and feasibility within the required dimensions and budget
Environmental responsibility
Consistency with the Organizer’s creative universe
18.The members of the Jury are:

Julie Aleman – Director of commerce and development at Sessùn
Emma François-Grasset – Founding president and artistic director of Sessùn
19.The Jury will deliberate on Thursday 21 May 2026 to designate the twenty (20) Selected Participants for the Exhibition. Among them, the Jury will designate three (3) Winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize).
20.The Organizer is not obliged to designate any Selected Participants or Winners if the Projects are deemed insufficient in quality relative to the Prize’s standards of excellence.The Organizer may also award special mentions.
21.The Organizer may decide not to exhibit all or part of the Projects of Selected Participants or Winners due to technical, scenographic or quality constraints.
22.Likewise, the Organizer is not obliged to hold the Exhibition and may cancel, modify or postpone it at any time without liability and without compensation for Candidates, Selected Participants or Winners.
23.The decisions of the Jury and Organizer are final and not subject to appeal.
§6 – Announcement of Results and Coverage of Expenses
24.The identities of the twenty (20) Selected Participants, including the ranking of the three (3) Winners, will be announced no later than Monday 1 June 2026 by email using the address provided during registration. At that time, the Organizer will provide the Selected Participants with technical instructions for the production phase of their Project. Production follow-up is the responsibility of the winner.
25.Each Selected Participant must confirm acceptance of their selection and Prize by email no later than Monday 8 June 2026.Failure to respond within this period will be considered a withdrawal from the selection and the Prize, and the Organizer may designate another Candidate from the reserve list established by the Jury.
26.Certain expenses remain the sole responsibility of the Selected Participants, including: personal insurance, excess baggage, visa fees, meals (excluding official events), personal expenses (minibar, laundry, telephone, etc.). Each Selected Participant is responsible for ensuring the validity of travel documents and compliance with administrative or health formalities required for entry into France. The Organizer shall not be liable for visa refusals or travel restrictions preventing participation in events related to the Prize.
§7 – Prize
27.The Organizer allocates to each of the twenty (20) Selected Participants (including the Winners) a maximum production budget of €500 excluding tax, dedicated exclusively to the fabrication of their Project for the Exhibition. This amount will be paid as a fixed lump sum of €500, without requiring invoices or proof of expenditure.
28.In consideration for this full coverage of production costs, the physical ownership of the Project will be transferred to the Organizer upon delivery.
29.The Project will become part of the Organizer’s artistic and heritage collection. Each Selected Participant also receives additional support:
1st Prize
€1,500 voucher valid on SESSÙN collections (excluding SESSÙN ALMA products and sale periods)
€500 production grant for an additional object
2nd Prize
€1,000 voucher valid on SESSÙN collections
€500 production grant
3rd Prize
€800 voucher valid on SESSÙN collections
€500 production grant
Other seventeen Selected Participants
€500 voucher valid on SESSÙN collections
€500 production grant
30.All Selected Participants will benefit from significant visibility through the anniversary Exhibition and associated communications.
31.Prizes are awarded at the Organizer’s sole discretion and may be replaced by rewards of equivalent value and characteristics.
32.In the case of a collective application, the Prize is awarded once for the Project, and the internal distribution of the Prize is the sole responsibility of the collective members.
§8 – Timeline
33.Indicative schedule:
13 March 2026 – Launch of the call for applications
10 May 2026 – Application deadline (11:59 PM Paris time)
21 May 2026 – Jury deliberation
1 June 2026 – Announcement of Selected Participants and Winners, start of production phase
34.These dates are indicative only. The Organizer may modify the schedule at its discretion without liability or claims for damages or loss of opportunity.
35.The Organizer may cancel, postpone, suspend or terminate the Prize at any time, particularly in cases of force majeure, legal, technical or health-related constraints.
§9 – Intellectual Property
36.Candidates submit materials and documents over which they hold intellectual property rights (the “Content”). Candidates declare that they are the exclusive authors of the Content or that they hold all necessary rights for its use within the context of the Prize.
37.The Organizer may use the Content solely for reviewing applications, selecting the twenty (20) Selected Participants and determining the three (3) Winners.
38.Selected Participants produce an original physical work (the “Project”) and guarantee that they are the exclusive authors or rights holders.
39.Each Selected Participant grants the Organizer a non-exclusive worldwide license, for the entire duration of copyright protection, to use the Content and the Project for the purposes of promoting: the Prize, the Exhibition, the Organizer’s 30th anniversary.
40.This license includes rights of:
reproduction (press, catalogues, digital media, social networks, etc.)
public display and communication
adaptation (cropping, translation, formatting for scenography or communications)
41.Each Candidate and Selected Participant represents and warrants to the Organizer that:
the intellectual property rights relating to the Content and the Projects legally exist, and undertakes to carry out all necessary actions to maintain and, where applicable, renew such rights, and to bear the related costs;
they hold full and complete ownership of the rights assigned and have not entered into any agreement or taken any action that could prevent the Organizer from freely enjoying such rights;
the Content and the Projects do not infringe any third-party rights and are not subject to any dispute or legal action for infringement, invalidity, lapse, or claim of ownership;
they have obtained all necessary authorizations from any third parties (collaborators, photographers, etc.) who may have contributed to the creation of the Content or the Projects;
the Organizer may freely and peacefully use the Content and the Projects in accordance with the purposes defined above;
they shall indemnify and hold the Organizer harmless against any claim or action for infringement, ownership claim, or invalidity brought by a third party in relation to the Content or the Projects.
42.The Organizer undertakes to credit the Candidate or collective whenever the Content is used, in accordance with professional practice and respect for authors’ moral rights.
§10 – Personality Rights
43.Each Candidate, Selected Participant and Winner authorizes the Organizer, on a non-exclusive and irrevocable basis, to use their name, voice and image for communication related to the Prize.
44.This authorization is granted free of charge, worldwide, for ten (10) years from the first publication.
45.It includes photographs, audio recordings, videos or moving images captured during:
events related to the Prize
the Exhibition opening
promotional or behind-the-scenes content produced by the Organizer.
46.These recordings may be freely incorporated into the Organizer’s advertising and institutional communications, in particular to accompany the public presentation of the Selected Participants and the Winners.
47.After this period, the Organizer may retain the image only on archival or permanent media (such as website archives or retrospective publications) without further commercial use.
§11 – Independence of Candidates and Conflict of Interest
48.Candidates remain fully independent in their artistic choices and work organization.Participation in the Prize does not create any employment, agency, partnership or subordination relationship between the Candidate and the Organizer. Candidates may not present themselves as representatives of the Organizer.
The Organizer reserves the right to exclude any Candidate or revoke a Prize in the event of non-compliance with these Rules or behavior that could harm the Organizer’s reputation or interests.
§12 – Liability
50.The Organizer’s liability may only be engaged in the event of gross negligence. In particular, the Organizer declines any responsibility for loss, theft or damage to application files or Projects during transportation to the Organizer.
51.Transport of Projects to the delivery location indicated by the Organizer occurs at the sole cost and risk of the Selected Participant.
52.Candidates remain responsible for any taxes, duties or social contributions related to their Prize under their national legislation.
53.Where applicable, any withholding tax will be automatically deducted from the Prize amount.
§13 – Data Protection
54.All data collected by the Organizer is subject to applicable data protection laws, including:
French Data Protection Act (Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended)
EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)
55.Personal data collected for the Prize is used solely to manage participation, select the Winners, deliver prizes and communicate about the Prize.
56.All personal data will be deleted once all Prize-related events have been completed. Candidates have the right to access, rectify, object to and delete their personal data. Requests may be sent to: privacy@sessun.fr or to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
§14 – Final Provisions
57.If any provision of these Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.
58.The French version of these Rules shall prevail over any translated version.
59.These participation terms may be modified at any time without prior notice.
60.French law shall apply.
61.In the event of a dispute, the Parties will attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
FAILING AGREEMENT WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS FOLLOWING NOTIFICATION BY REGISTERED LETTER, EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION SHALL BE GRANTED TO THE ECONOMIC COURT OF MARSEILLE, NOTWITHSTANDING EMERGENCY PROCEEDINGS, MULTIPLE DEFENDANTS OR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS.
